Promoting Interprofessional Collaboration Among Pediatric Physical Therapy Students Through Remote Simulation

Interprofessional collaboration must be taught in healthcare curriculum to ready graduates for the clinic, however, limited evidence is available guide pediatric physical therapy faculty best practices. This quantitative retrospective pretest-posttest study examined collaborative competency attainment, satisfaction, and self-confidence of 84 Doctor Physical Therapy students from four campuses a private university. Students participated live, remote simulated learning experience completed Student Satisfaction Self-Confidence Learning scale Collaborative Competencies Attainment Survey–Revised. There was significant improvement student competencies after were satisfied confident regardless demographics. Findings support implementation simulation purpose interprofessional education may relate other fields. Future research explore influence interdisciplinary, interventions on behavior clinic patient outcomes.
